How does this work?

After a no-obligation interview with you in your home to discuss your needs, diet restrictions, likes and dislikes, a time is set for the first cook date.  A deposit for groceries and freezer containers will be due at this time.  A few days before the scheduled cook date Chef Cynthia will send a proposed menu via email for changes or final approval.  And that's all there is to it!  From there Chef Cynthia will shop, cook and clean.  You will find all of the meals in your refrigerator and you can choose which ones will go in your freezer to eat later.

  • Chef services can be customized to fit any needs.
  • Groceries and containers are not included in the chef service fee.   The cost of groceries is determined by the menu selected.  The container costs will depend upon the method of storage requested. Containers remain the property of the client and are replaced as needed.
  • Desserts are available for an additional charge, plus the cost of groceries.
  • Special dietary planning and the optional choice of individually packaged entrees and side dishes can be accommodated for a small additional charge.

The chef service fee will vary depending on the number of meals, number of servings per meal and frequency of scheduled cookdates, therefore it is best to inquire about specific pricing after discussing your needs.  However, a price range for the following services are given below.

Please note:

  • An "Entree Only" service is available at a reduced cost if the client wishes to prepare their own side dishes.
  • Cook dates can be scheduled weekly, bi-weekly or monthly in advance to receive preferred pricing.

The chef service fee includes:

  • Personalized menu planning
  • Grocery shopping
  • Use of Chef’s kit full of pots, pans and utensils
  • Preparation of entrees and one appropriate side dish per entree. Additional side dishes can be prepared for an extra charge.

Standard Service (Examples)

Three different entrees of four servings each (plus an appropriate side dish for each entree) $225 and up
Five different entrees of four servings each (plus an appropriate side dish for each entree) $325 and up

Keep It Fresh Premium Service (maximum of 3 entrees/sides)

Food items such as salads, some pasta and fresh fish do not freeze well.  With the Keep It Fresh service you can enjoy a greater variety of foods and you don’t have to bother thawing your meals before heating.  All meals will keep in the refrigerator and should be eaten within three days.  Three Keep It Fresh meals for two people starts at $150 plus groceries, or for four people starting at $245 plus groceries.

Cook’s Helper

Sometimes a person just needs a little help in the kitchen to make a great homemade meal in minutes rather than hours.  Chef Cynthia can offer that help in the form of shopping, then cutting, slicing, dicing and premixing the ingredients you need to make your signature dishes or hers.  Cook’s Helper Option is $40 per hour with a 3 hour minimum.
